وفي القليوبية استعانت قوات الأمن المركزي بثلاثة أتوبيبسات تابعة لهيئة النقل العام لنقلهم لمدينة شبين القناطر تحسبا لوقوع أي مظاهرات فيها، وقام جنود الأمن المركزي بفرض كردونات أمنية حول قسم شرطة شبين القناطر ومقر المجلس المحلي ومقر الحزب الوطني بالمدينة.
